What IS IRCop Impersonation?
IRCop impersonation is basically pretending to be an IRCop.
This can be in the form of changing your mirc ident to "IRCop" Or "admin"
Or changing your real name or away message to
"is a services administrator (IRCop)"
(or similar)
Or impersonation may be impersonating a specific IRCop
Such as using another letter in the nick Angelz or any other Oper's nick.
E.g. Ang3lz would be impersonation.

So why is Oper Impersonation so bad, and why is not allowed?
This is not allowed on WebChat, for the simple reason that it confuses users and may mislead them into giving users their passwords. Because of this Oper Impersonation is strictly forbidden.

What will happen to me if I impersonate an IRCop?
If you impersonate IRCop then you will be banned from the network after we have warned you to stop impersonating. You will only be given one chance. After reading this you shouldn't need another chance, this document is your warning.

What can I do if I think another user is impersonating an IRCop?
Join #Spiderslair and ask us to confirm if the user is an IRCop or not.
