Scripts?
On this network, we accept IRC clients of all kinds. Even modified clients called scripts. We allow all scripts, except for a choice ones, on this network. You are free to download and use any NON-War script. Why did I say "NON-War"? Reason why: War scripts come with utilites, and appliations to cause disruption to channels and users. They eventually cause trouble for the whole network so we disallow them totally. PLEASE, if you must use a script make sure it is NON-War, or doesn't contain any war-like tools. That goes for addons also.

What is the rule for scripts on WebChat?
Our rule is simply: We do allow you to have scripts, as long as we have not said different about that particular script. If you have any questions regarding whether your script is outlawed or not, join #spiderslair and ask an IRC Operator. War Scripts are not allowed. If we catch you warring with those scripts, the issue will be dealt with accordingly.

How does a script get outlawed, or illegal?
Once a script has caused repeated disputes and problems throughout the network. We do try and be fair and we give warnings to fix the script or change it. Once it has become a nuisance to the network, we disallow it. Anyone caught with it is automatically removed from the network, until you change script. A list of currently banned scripts are: Showdown Pro, MircPro, and Rentokill

How do I know if my script is a potential problem?
Normally scripts are labeled "war" or something of that sort. Occasionally, some scripts don't come with its type and we understand a mistake. Just come to #spiderslair and explain the functions of your script and we'll evaluate from there. It's better safe than sorry.

What is so bad about War Scripts?
War scripts contain certain tools and applications to make other users' stay unwelcome. War scripts, by far, have NO intention of providing any good. Some have cloners and nukers which clearly violate our rules on this network which can be viewed by typing /motd.

What happens if I get akilled for using a script I didn't know was war?
If you feel you were wronged, or a mistake was made, email kline@webchat.org, and we'll rectify the situation promptly. NEVER evade and/or use your script for revenge for you being akilled. Remember, everyone makes mistakes, even IRCops. We're still human ya know.
